From the gentle slopes of Palm Valley to the grassy banks of Swan Lake, this UNESCO World Heritage Site offers variety of scenic picnic spots for families and couples alike. Music enthusiasts can also enjoy the live performances held at the Shaw Symphony Stage. A lovely spot to go dog walking too.

Singapore Botanic Gardens is located at 1 Cluny Road, Singapore 259569 with the nearest parking at Botanic Gardens Visitor Centre Car Park, Nassim Gate.

Picnic under the stars on Marina Barrage’s Green Roof, where you’ll be surrounded by unrivalled views of the Singapore skyline. This area is also a popular spot for kite flying, so be sure to look out for the unique kites that dot the sky, or bring your own kite along and join in the fun! This is one of the most photogenic spots in all of Singapore, so no excuses not to be a big hit on Instagram.

Whether it’s cycling, rollerblading or soccer, get your daily dose of exercise at East Coast Park before tucking into a picnic lunch along the park’s 15km coastline. If you’re looking to get away from the crowd, the quiet beach beside the Bougainvillea Garden is perfect for a leisurely picnic by the sea. For the more energetic, take a Frisbee and practise some nifty trick throws and catches.

Take your next Sunday brunch to the beach with a picnic at Sentosa’s Tanjong Beach Club, where it’s all sun, sand and sea. Have your pets join you for the day too – the club is pooch-friendly during the day and provides visiting dogs with a complimentary bowl of water. Bring a group of friends and enjoy a game of beach volleyball on the soft golden sands – perfect as the sun starts to go down at the end of the day.

An oasis of tranquillity along Singapore’s Southern Ridges, Labrador Nature Reserve is an ideal spot for nature and history lovers to picnic. Explore the historic Fort Pasic Panjang or the wetlands along the Berlayer Creek boardwalk before settling down for a picnic under one of the park’s sheltered pavilions.
